“So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven”
The Origin Story
I’ve always had a passion for writing. I wrote my first short story at the age of nine on my backyard deck. This passion stayed with me through high school and it seemed like an obvious choice for my future.
In 2006, I met with my guidance counsellor at school to go over post-secondary options. I shared how I wanted to go into journalism. I figured since she had also taught me the past few years, she would be fully on board. I always did very well in her class. She looked at me with a straight face, scoffed at me and said “YOU want to be a writer?”, followed by a dismissed reaction. This hurt deeply and shattered my confidence.
I ended up eventually applying and got accepted into a journalism program in Toronto; however, due to my parents’ divorce happening at the time and a few other personal challenges, I decided to forgo the journalism program. After taking a year off from high school I went to college to study business. This led me to work in the golf industry and retail space for a few years.
A health scare in 2013 led to me eventually changing careers and left me looking for something to do at home. I would go on to spend eight months as a sports writer working remotely. I started off covering Canadian University sports and then transitioned to covering the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Raptors, Baltimore Ravens and the 2014 Winter Olympics.
In 2016, I went back to school, studying leadership and theology at a Bible College in British Columbia. During my time there I grew as a person, a writer, a businessman, a leader, and a man of God.
After returning home from Bible College in 2019, I started a leadership business with my brother, Craig. A few months into launching the business we were forced to pivot our entire business model and services to virtual due to the pandemic.
In 2021, I self-published my first book Focus Fuel, after paying thousands of dollars for an online course. The book didn’t do well, but I learned what not to do when creating a course - a valuable tool I hope will help aspiring writers.
As part of this business I had the privilege of teaching Lunch & Learns to small and medium sized businesses across North America, but one problem existed - I was told by a few clients not to share anything about my faith and that caused me to feel very limited and inauthentic.
In 2022, I got Long-Covid which led to some temporary heart complications and a plethora of mental health challenges. Unfortunately complications continued and I deal with chronic fatigue syndrome on a daily basis.
I am thankful that God continues to help me through each day.
In January 2026, I released my first YouTube video on the “Write and Witness” channel. In March 2026, I officially launched this website to share more encouragement to those looking to dive deeper into their faith.
2 Corinthians 12:9 says:
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me”
May Christ’s power rest on all of us as we gladly boast in our weaknesses.

Bible Verses Encouraging us to
Write & Witness
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth
- Acts 1:8
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot, You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
- Matthew 5:13-16
The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts
- 2 Corinthians 3:2-3
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
- Romans 10:13-14
