Psalm 23 Explained | After God's Own Heart (Ep. 2)
Welcome to the second episode of the Write & Witness vlog where I will be documenting my journey of writing a book on Psalm 23.
The book will break down the popular psalm verse by verse and word by word, going deeper into its meaning and how we can live it out each day. In this Christian-based vlog, I share my heart behind the book, my struggle with anxiety, depression and fear, as well as encouragement for the road ahead. I also give a glimpse of my writing process and show the many verses about sheep and shepherds that are found in the Bible.
In this particular video, I look at the author behind Psalm 23 - David. David was a shepherd, a warrior, a king...but he was also a sinner. He committed adultery with Bathsheba and he had her husband, Uriah, murdered. So how could he be called a man after God's own heart?
